Lessons Learned from the Field: How Teacher Educators Can Support the Induction of Beginning Special Education Teachers

This presentation examines the results of NCIPP's large-scale research study to determine what actually happens during mentoring sessions which make them effective for beginning special education teachers. It also discusses the role of Institutes of Higher Education (IHEs) in preparing graduates and linking them with the resources needed for effective mentoring.
