NCIPP: Induction and Mentoring: From Promising to Expert Practice

Induction is believed to improve the retention of beginning teachers and to foster their professional development. However, studies on effective practices are scarce, and few pertain specifically to special education teachers. In this session, we present promising induction and mentoring practices identified in the literature syntheses and how these practices are implemented in several districts.
